Meet the CEO
15 years ago, Lyn Lee, the self-confessed chocolate lover, realised that there was a gap in the market for simple, good chocolate cake. Thus Lyn quit her job as a lawyer and started Awfully Chocolate in 1998 with a group of close friends. But when she first started, family and friends told her that she was sure to fail because she was only selling one type of cake. Awfully Chocolate now has 10 stores in Singapore and 19 franchises across Asia, including in China, Taiwan and Hong Kong.
